Flexible retail units help sell shirts at Premiership clubs

Three Premiership football clubs have contracted Rapid Retail to provide bespoke retail merchandising units for the new season. The orders from Southampton, Tottenham Hotspur and Leicester City mean that the UK company now counts all but three Premiership clubs as customers.

Rapid Retail designs, supplies and builds the units, with the three “six-figure” contracts allowing the clubs to either purchase or rent the units, with the flexibility to upgrade them or alter their use depending upon customer needs.

The company also recently signed a long-term deal with French club Paris St Germain in which it will supply a further three units to the 2014 league winners.

Matt Payne, head of retail, licensing and merchandising at Leicester City Football Club, commented: “It is important that the fans enjoy a complete match day experience. The fact that Rapid Retail can supply such high-quality units enhances that experience and relieves pressure in other retail areas of the ground, meaning the fans are served more quickly.”
